Every piece of content on Growing With Kid undergoes a rigorous review process to ensure it is safe, age-appropriate, and aligned with our values. This page explains how we review and moderate content.

Content Curation Process

Stage 4: Publication
Only content that passes all review stages is published. Content that doesn't meet our standards is revised or rejected.
Story Content Guidelines
All bedtime stories and audio content follow strict guidelines:
Themes and Values
- Positive, uplifting themes
- Educational content that promotes learning
- Respectful representation of diverse cultures
- Calm, bedtime-appropriate narratives
- No scary, violent, or inappropriate content
Language Standards
- Simple, age-appropriate vocabulary
- Clear pronunciation and pacing
- No inappropriate language or references
- Respectful and inclusive language
Age-Appropriateness
Stories are categorized by age range (3-5, 6-8) and reviewed to ensure they are appropriate for the intended audience. Content for older children is not shown to younger profiles.
Content Restrictions
We explicitly exclude:
- Violence or scary themes
- Inappropriate language or references
- Commercial content or product placement
- Religious or political content
- Content that promotes unsafe behaviors
Digital Product Review
All PDF activities, worksheets, and digital products undergo similar review:

Bolo Buddy Content Safety
Bolo Buddy uses AI to generate stories, but all content is generated from pre-approved, reviewed templates:
Pre-Approved Story Templates
- All story templates are reviewed and approved before use
- AI generates stories only from approved templates
- No free-form story generation or user requests
- Templates follow the same content guidelines as regular stories
No User-Generated Content
Bolo Buddy does not allow children or parents to create custom stories. All content comes from our reviewed and approved template library.

Content must align with GWK values: calm, intentional, parent-controlled, and trust-first. Content that promotes screen addiction or manipulative design is rejected.
